  We purchased a cherry chest from Gish's a few months ago and we LOVE it. It is beautiful. We knew walking in that the prices would be on the higher side... but we also knew that we wanted a piece that would last us our entire lives together and passed down to our children. The furniture is hand-crafted and high quality. Upon purchase you are given a yellow receipt and assigned an Amish builder (identification number- not name). It took about three months to build but we did have it custom made. They do not have prices on their website. What we did was email and ask for a ballpark estimate after browsing the website. This really helped. After saving a bit over that amount, we visited in person and placed our order. I would suggest doing this if budgeting is important. Well worth the money, time, and anticipation!
